UtiliseIt - New Web Development Coming Soon
After competing against 12 other developers the all new UtiliseIt Web Development gets underway!
The development consists of members and users logging in to rent out their unused items. Kelly Mikulla, MD of UtiliseIt has been successfully running the idea for a number of years but without a website / manager system to help her!
As always, the system will incorporate the latest asp, ajax and jQuery techniques to provide an easy to use interface. This is especially important ...
There are many features on the site, from automatic resizing of item photos to availability tables and booking details.Essentially, the site has two cms systems, one for the member to manage their items, and one for Kelly to administer the site in general and take ultimate control of the members and their items!
Be sure to look out for the all new utiliseit.co.uk - coming soon!

The Technical Bit
Using Active Server Pages (ASP) combined with AJAX, Javascript and Jquery techniques - your resulting web project will be attractive yet functional.
ASP lets you add amazing functionality - from uploading custom photos, to giving you an full e-commerce products system.
Javascript and Jquery Plugins can give you an easy to use and nice user experience - while keeping the functionality that ASP provides.
Using all of the above is not so much a skill, but more of an art. Taking the best bits from each system, using their strengths and leaving behind their weaknesses.
Already Have A Website?
If you've already got a website that you want "sprucing up" or need maintaining - this can be a slightly different ball game. Most of my customers in this situation have seen the benefits of using their current website as a stepping stone to their new feature filled website.
If you're in this situation please get in touch and let me know your requirements!
